Every year the SAP headquarters in Walldorf, Germany hosts the United VARs Annual Meeting, which will take place this year in April with over 100 representative members participating throughout the three days, including MIBCON which is the only representative of the Czech Republic and Slovakia in the United VARs.
On the one hand, this event is a wonderful opportunity to review what we have accomplished in the past year and to welcome the new member companies and partners that have successfully joined the alliance in 2017. These companies will also present new business opportunities in their respective home countries that can also be taken advantage of by the other members.
On the other hand, this is the perfect time to build future plans and make strategic decisions as to how members can benefit even more from this global alliance, such as opportunities for global implementations to increased cross-selling. Thanks to our international prominence, since United VARs is a highly recognized network of 40 different solution providers and one of only nine global Platinum Resellers of SAP, SAP management professionals are also joining United VARs, and are ready to answer our questions and share insightful news about SAP’s outlook and plans for 2018 and 2019. In particular, this year we are proud to welcome Rodolpho Cardenuto, head of SAP President General Business and Rinse Tamsma, Global COO and Head of Upper GB Sales at SAP.
Why is networking important to United VARs?
During these three days, there will be time not only for keynotes and sharing and gaining knowledge but also for networking, which will be strongly promoted through initiatives that will spice up the event. Detlef Mehlmann, Director of United VARs, stated that “it surely makes a difference whether people just know each other from some telephone conferences and business meetings, or they actually had a beer and spent some leisure time together. This personal link is important for United VARs because the heads of our 40-member companies know each other personally and may engage more actively if they are asked to when their companies are partnering in specific global SAP implementations. Short decision paths are sometimes needed, especially because most of our projects are very limited when it comes to time schedules.”
Special emphasis is placed on increasing cooperation
As international outsourcing and outreach have become more important to our customers, United VARs is seeking innovative ways to intensify global cooperation and to pass this knowledge on to customers undergoing the globalization process. Membership in United VARs allows partners to obtain the best local support and services directly from fellow national market leaders within United VARs. By being part of such an extended and first-class alliance, the capabilities of the single members are multiplied exponentially. In addition, we expect to add value through increased collaboration, plus offer more services and a joint portfolio for our customers on a global scale. Together we are stronger.
